I have been wanting to do this pic for a long time. Probably took me about 12 hours total, but I didn't keep precise count. Inkscape, Painter IX.5, Gimp (Wacom Intuos).

Thank you very much. Thanks for noticing the toes. I was worried no one would realize she is floating as opposed to standing tip-toe. So hopefully showing the toes helps...

Thank you very much. I was a little worried about the gold not being convincing, so I turned down the opacity a bit and it got better. So I really appreciate the feedback! I didn't even think about the toes in the socks....

oh nice, a lot more solid feeling than previous works.
I think your main problem is that the lightsource doesnt seems to be concistent :/. lighting can be a bastard with shiny stuff. you should also have some of that blue reflecting on the costume.

a way to show really shiny stuff better is putting reflections of objects around the character on it :).
